Manutea is an exceptional rum house produced in Tahiti , in the heart of French Polynesia . Founded in 1984, Manutea Tahiti is distinguished by the creation of unique spirits such as pineapple, ginger and orange eaux-de-vie, in keeping with local artisanal excellence. The brand shares the same site as the famous Jus de Fruits de Moorea company, a symbol of quality in the region.
O'Tahiti sugarcane , an endemic variety renowned for its aromatic intensity, is grown on the Domaine Pari Pari in Tahaa as well as on the Hotu Fenua terroirs of Moorea. Harvested by hand with the greatest care and pressed on site the same day, it guarantees incomparable freshness to each batch of rum. This traditional process excludes any addition of water, resulting in a pure and richly flavored vesou .
After extraction, the vesou is transported by schooner from the Leeward Islands ( Raromatai ) to Moorea , where it is taken care of by the Manutea Tahiti distillery. Nestled at the foot of the majestic Mount Rotui, between the mythical Cook and Opunohu bays, the distillery uses a copper still for artisanal distillation, revealing all the aromatic richness of the rum. The precious nectar is then left to rest and brought back to its perfect strength, thus revealing all the typicity of this premium white rum .
