Real Minero is the Mezcal brand of the Ángeles de Santa Catarina Minas family, in Oaxaca, Mexico . The great-grandfather Don Francisco Ángeles named “Papa Chico” was the first link in building the family legacy. The company is now run by Graciela, Adriana, Miriam and Edgar Ángeles Carreño.

This Mezcal is produced from maguey Largo (variety of agave Karwinskii) and Espadin (variety of agave Angustifolia), whose age varies from 10 to 14 years. It is roasted in a conical earthen log oven and ground with an electric grinder. It is then fermented with indigenous yeasts and double distilled in stacked clay pots (Filipino distiller).
