The Charmes-Chambertin appellation is made up of grapes from two Charmes-Chambertin plots and those from the Mazoyères-Chambertin plot. The Mazoyères-Chambertin plot rests on Comblanchien limestone covered by gravel from the alluvial cone of the Grisard valley. The Charmes-Chambertin plot is based on limestone with entroques in the upper part and on Comblanchien limestone on the lower part.

At Domaine Armand Rousseau, the vineyard is known to be of high quality. An asset to which is added a rather high level of vinification. The wines are as noble as they are surprising. They combine density and elegance, cultivating notes of small red fruits complemented by spicy flavors.

Charmes-Chambertin is a virile wine, rooted in its tannins and draped in a slightly dry woody flavor. This wine is very supple with a lot of finesse and elegance.
