Stephan Attman has been in charge of the estate since 2007. His first vintage is 2008. He is 41 years old, learned wine late in life and devoted himself wholeheartedly to learning again and again. He was at a very good school in Germany, and learned how to make wine in various renowned estates, notably with Dönnhoff, Dr. Heger and especially Jean François Coche-Dury. The latter remained his absolute master. He returned to Germany with the almost sacrilegious idea of maturing Riesling in barrels. He is a perfectionist and continues to fumble for the perfect balance with wood.
