Château CHEVAL BLANC 1997

Château Cheval Blanc is one of the elite of very great Bordeaux wines. If the Merlot is major in Saint Emilion, the estate has opted for Cabernet Franc, around 2/3 of the blend, associated with Merlot, for 1/3.

The gravelly soil gives this dominant grape variety, Cabernet Franc, a very large breed, a very stylish wine. About 10,000 cases are produced each year, offering a few handfuls of privileged people the opportunity to enjoy this wine so dense, deep, racy and subtle.

The 1997 vintage is not a legendary vintage but it has the advantage of offering wines that are approachable today. This wine shows an incredible class, an imposing charisma, while remaining comfortable, tender and reassuring. Cheval Blanc is truly one of the exceptional wines, racy, but ultimately so elegant.
