Domaine Hubert and Laurent Lignier - Charmes Chambertin 2014

The Hubert Lignier domain is one of the reference domains of Morey Saint-Denis and beyond, of Côte de Nuits. On retirement, Hubert Lignier left his vines in the hands of his son Romain, who has now passed away, who has never ceased to produce wines that are among the most regular and the most successful in Burgundy. The estate is now divided into two: Romain's widow sells most of the production under her own label; while Hubert Ligner and his eldest son, Laurent, keep a tiny part. All the wines produced by this tandem are models of fleshy, generous Burgundies, which age gracefully and must appear in any cellar.
