Domaine Jean Gros - Richebourg Grand Cru 1991 It all started with Alphonse GROS, born in 1804 in Chaux, a small village in the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits, 2 km above Nuits-Saint-Georges. One of their two sons, Louis-Gustave, marries Reine GUENAUD and succeeds his father. He is one of the first winemakers on the coast to bottle his wine for direct sale to individuals. In 1882 he bought two hectares of Richebourg. A few generations later, Jean Gros created his own vineyard in 1973 until disappearance in 1995. This bottle of Richebourg Domaine Jean Gros of the 1991 vintage is among the most sought after bottles of Burgundy and the world. A mythical bottle, in a vintage of small production and quality. A vintage carved for the guard!
