Château LATOUR 1979
Created around 1680, the Château Latour vineyard is one of the oldest in the Médoc. At the heart of the estate, the main parcel, called "l'Enclos", is made up of 47 hectares of old vines which are preciously maintained, because only able to give birth to the "Great Wine". The 18 hectares of outdoor plots, the vines less than 10 years old and the possibly downgraded cuvées produce the second wine of the domain, "Les Forts de Latour".
The Latour wine is an example of regularity regardless of the quality of the vintage. Firm, tannic and concentrated in its youth, it requires a long aging to reveal all its depth, its power and its extraordinary richness. At perfect maturity, the wine is distinguished by an incredible bouquet of cassis, hazelnut and leather.
