Bourbon - Weller - 12 ans - The Original Wheated Bourbon - 45%
W.L. Weller is made by the Buffalo Trace Distillery, in Frankfort, Kentucky, in the United-States. Old William LaRue Weller, who gave the whiskey its name, claimed to have been the first in Kentucky to make a Bourbon in which all the rye was replaced by wheat. It is claimed that this was made and sold for the first time in 1849, and even today it says “Wheated Bourbon” on the label on the bottle.
As part of the Wheated Bourbon family, this 12-year-old W.L. Weller is aged far longer than most wheated Bourbons.
