Domaine de Villaine - Rully 1er Cru - Grésigny 2017
Domaine de Villaine is located in Bouzeron, north of the Côte-Chalonnaise in Burgundy. The estate was bought by Aubert and Pamela de Villaine in 1971, and has been managed since 2001 by their nephew, Pierre de Benoist. Since 1986, organic farming methods have been developed within the vineyard. The estate has several ‘climats’ in the communes of Bouzeron, Rully, Mercurey and Santenay which are planted with Aligoté, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
The Grésigny Rully Premier Cru comes from a plot rented since 2011. Located to the south-west of the Rully appellation area, this plot supports Chardonnay vines that are over 80 years old.
