French version - Armorik 2014 - 50%
Version Française is a trading range from La Maison du Whiskey , made up of French spirits. The objective is to favor short circuits and encourage more local consumption.
Warenghem was the first French distillery to start producing whiskey in 1983. Since the introduction of its first Single Malt in 1998, the distillery has constantly refined its mastery in terms of production. It is equipped with two pot stills; a 6,000 liter wash still and a 3,500 liter spirit still.
The whiskey was distilled in 2014 and the maturing cask selected for the Version Française range reflects the Celtic heritage of the distillery: it is a second-fill Oloroso sherry barrel that has received an intensely smoked distillate from Scottish peat at 45 ppm. This superb whiskey with peaty notes comes with its case.
