Established in 1923 in Trinidad and Tobago on the site of the former Caroni sugar factory, the legendary distillery used both copper pot stills and distillation columns to produce powerful and authentic rums. Renowned for their high alcohol content, Caroni rums were primarily intended for the British Royal Navy. Despite the efforts of enthusiasts and experts, the distillery was sold in 2001 by the Trinidad government to Angostura, then permanently closed in 2002. The Caroni legend was reborn in 2004 when Luca Gargano discovered a precious stock of barrels hidden in the old distillery during his visit to the island. These historic casks were then bottled and marketed, becoming one of the most sought-after treasures by rum collectors worldwide.

This Caroni 1985 is an exceptional rum, distilled from molasses and aged for 21 years under ideal tropical conditions, offering a unique aromatic complexity and remarkable strength. This rare and coveted edition was produced in only 6,600 bottles worldwide, making it a true gem for any discerning enthusiast or collector.
