Sake is the most famous alcoholic drink in Japan. Brewed with special rice, it has many different styles and qualities depending on the brewing process, the ingredients used and the percentage of polishing of the rice.
Maison Takeno was founded in 1864 in Kyoto Prefecture, at Kyotango. Historically the house was located next to a temple and was destroyed during the war. It was in 1947 that the Takeno house was recreated by the association of four previously closed Sakaguras.
This version was selected for La Maison du Whisky as part as the Conquête range. It is made from Yamada Nishiki ricepolished to 50%.
