Gordon & MacPhail is an independent bottler of Scottish whisky and owner of Benromach Distillery, famous for its richly diverse range of bottlings from some of the most notable distilleries in Scotland. The business was founded in 1895 as a grocer and wine and spirit merchant in Elgin in the northeast of Scotland. In 1915, former apprentice John Urquhart, took over full control of the business. More than a century later, Gordon & MacPhail remains a family business.
The Glenlivet Distillery is located in the Speyside region of Scotland. It was founded in 1824 and has operated almost continuously since. The distillery remained open throughout the Great Depression and its only closure came during World War II. It has grown in the post-war period to become one of the biggest Single Malt distilleries. Today, the distillery is owned by Pernod Ricard company.
This edition was aged for 17 years is made from a vatting of 2 casks and matured in a refill Bourbon barrel. It was bottled on the 14th of June 2021 and produced 510 bottles.
