NEISSON - Collection Tatanka - Rhum Vieux - Le Bus Rose - Single Cask 2007 - Zépol Karé - Edition Distillerie 2016 - 48%
Tatanka is a craft company from Martinique, which produces hand paintings on various supports. Designed since 1996 by a Martinican artist who paints directly on glass in a naive art style, these bottles represent scenes from life in the distillery. It is a tribute to the hard work of the men and women who participate in the development of Neisson rums. For each special edition, three different illustrations are available.
The Neisson Distillery is located in Carbet, Martinique. It was created in 1932 by the Neisson brothers. Jean, a chemical engineer, has devoted his professional life to improving distillation techniques. Jean's descendants, Claudine and then her son Grégory, have taken over the family business. The transition to organic farming began in 2013, and in 2016 the first AOC Martinique organic rum was offered to consumers. Gradually, all the land, over 40 hectares, experienced the same development. After years of research, Neisson uses its own native yeast strains, selected from those naturally present on the canes of the distillery. Sustainable choice of crop varieties for their adaptation to the typology of each plot, control of watering to save water, efficient treatment of effluents: today everything contributes to the production of high quality agricultural rums in harmony with the ecosystem of Neisson lands.
This Single Cask from 2007 bottled in 2016 is called "Le Bus Rose".
