EX LIBRIS - WISERS 1998 - Smaller Hero - Bottled 2021 - 64,50%
La Maison du Whisky is launching its first range entirely dedicated to whiskies from around the world: Ex Libris. The first expressions selected from the Irish Distillers group are three Irish Single Malts from 1994, 1995 and 1996, bottled under the Knappogue Castle brand. The Ex Libris range also consists of a very old 22-year-old Rye Whiskey from Canada. The range is inspired by a literary universe with labels reminiscent of the covers of great literary classics and each version bears the name of a landmark literary work from its country of origin. Thus, the Irish whiskeys pay homage to the short stories of the most famous Irish writers Oscar Wilde. The Canadian whiskey refers to the work "Son of a Smaller Hero" by Anglo-Canadian author Mordecai Richler.
"Smaller Hero" comes from the J.P. Wiser’s distillery, located in Ontario, Canada, and established in 1857. This 22-year-old version is made from a blend of rye whiskeys aged in refill-cask. This limited edition produced 1,428 bottles.
