Domaine de Villaine - Côte Chalonnaise - Les Clous Aimé 2020
Domaine de Villaine is located in Bouzeron, north of the Côte-Chalonnaise in Burgundy. The estate was bought by Aubert and Pamela de Villaine in 1971, and has been managed since 2001 by their nephew, Pierre de Benoist. Since 1986, organic farming methods have been developed within the vineyard. The estate has several ‘climats’ in the communes of Bouzeron, Rully, Mercurey and Santenay which are planted with Aligoté, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
Les Clous Aimé comes from seven plots of Chardonnay located in the Bouzeron appellation area. The vine is planted from selections of Chardonnay chosen for their moderate yields. Les Clous Aimé is a wine to keep, which will reveal finesse and aromatic complexity after 5 to 7 years.
Grape variety: 100% Chardonnay
