Domaine de Villaine - Rully 1er Cru - Rabourcé 2019
Domaine de Villaine is located in Bouzeron, north of the Côte-Chalonnaise in Burgundy. The estate was bought by Aubert and Pamela de Villaine in 1971, and has been managed since 2001 by their nephew, Pierre de Benoist. Since 1986, organic farming methods have been developed within the vineyard. The estate has several ‘climats’ in the communes of Bouzeron, Rully, Mercurey and Santenay which are planted with Aligoté, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
The Rully Premier Cru Rabourcé comes from the climat of the same name located on the highest and warmest hillside, to the north of the Rully appellation area. Vinification and aging are carried out in a new wooden foudre, which gives the wine aromas of toast complemented by chalky notes due to its terroir made up of white clay.
Grape variety: 100% Chardonnay
