Domaine Henri Boillot - Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru 2020
The Domaine Henri Boillot is located in Meursault, in Burgundy . The domain was named Domaine Jean Boillot until 2005, but was changed when Henri Boillot bought the shares of the vineyard from his brothers and sisters in order to distinguish it from the new Domaine Jean-Marc Boillot belonging to his brother. Since 2008, Henri Boillot has been accompanied by his son Guillaume , who is head of viticulture and winemaker of the estate's red wines. They limit the interventions and all the entrants as much as possible, a philosophy applied since the 1990s which makes the estate a precursor in the management of ultra-reasoned vines . The specialty of Boillot father and son focuses on two appellations: Puligny-Montrachet and Volnay.
The Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru comes from the villages of Aloxe-Corton, Pernand-Vergelesses and Ladoix-Serrigny. The wine is aged in 350 liter barrels, 80% of which are new.
Grape variety: 100% Chardonnay
