Papa Rouyo - Sanblaj - 45%
Papa Rouyo is an agricultural rum from Guadeloupe . It pays tribute to "Papa Rouyo", whose real name is Charles Albert Ruscade, a farmer's son who worked the land with rigor and dedication. At Papa Rouyo, the growers, known as “ master canners ”, work in synergy with the producers and are an essential link in the creation of rum. This collective approach aims to enhance the respective know-how of planters and producers and thus enable the production of a local rum . In a process of respecting the land and improving the quality of the soil, the master cane-makers make it a point of honor to work the cane in the most traditional and natural way possible by cutting the long cane. The canes are then transported to the mill to be immediately crushed, a guarantee of freshness and quality, before distillation and placing in vats or barrels in the cellars of the distillery in Goyave.
Sanblaj is a rum resulting from the assembly of rums aged in the Papa Rouyo cellar whose toasts and barrels vary: new French and American oak and ex-Cognac.
