Domain OF THE ALLIANCE - Indigenous 2019
Domaine de l'Alliance is in the southeast of the Sauternes appellation, between Langon and Fargues in the Bordeaux wine region. It was created in 2005 when Daniel and Valérie Alibrand bought vines for an ex-nihilo creation, without taking over any pre-existing estate. Daniel Alibrand was a fisherman in the Vendée. Today they operate 8 hectares which cover a set of gravel soils where you will find a clayey presence or even a part rich in iron and complex to work. The grape variety is 80% Sémillon, 18% Sauvignon Blanc with a little Sauvignon Gris and 2% Muscadelle, for vines that are over forty years old on average. One parcel is even of unknown age, no one having been able to estimate it during the purchase. The estate is certified in organic farming , a process that was started very quickly after the purchase.
Indigènes is made from botrytised Sémillon grapes, but vinified in a dry style .
Grapes: 100% Semillon
