The Glencairn Glass - Glass - Per Unit
The Glencairn Whiskey Glass was imagined by Raymond Davidson in the mid-1990s, and produced by Glencairn Crystal from 2001. His sons Paul and Scott decided to entrust its design to the best informed people; master blenders. With their help and support, they were able to publicize the glass worldwide and promote it as a tasting glass for whiskey, developed by the whiskey industry for the whiskey industry. Today, Glencairn glass can be found in all distilleries in Scotland, Ireland, Wales as well as most distilleries in the United States. He has won accolades around the world, including the Queens Award, the UK's highest business honour.
The unique and elegant shape has been carefully designed to enhance the pleasure of whiskey tasting. The tapered mouth allows ease of consumption while capturing the aromas of the nose. The wide bowl allows the color of the whiskey to be fully appreciated and the sturdy base is designed to be easy to grip.
