TEQUILA PATTERN - Anejo - 40%
Patrón is a brand of Tequila made in Mexico . Patrón Spirits Company is based in Las Vegas and was founded in 1989 by John Paul DeJoria , a former homeless man who made his fortune as the co-founder of John Paul Mitchell Systems, a hair care producing company. In January 2018, Bacardi acquired the Tequila manufacturer.
Tequila Patrón is made from Weber blue agaves , which have the best sugar content. The leaves are cut to recover only the heart of the plant called "piña". After being chopped by hand, the piñas are baked in a brick oven to ensure even cooking. They are then crushed by a two-tonne Tahona wheel made of volcanic rock, and by a grinding wheel. The resulting mixture ferments for three days, is distilled, and then in some cases, aged in artisanal barrels.
Patrón Añejo is aged over 12 months in French oak barrels, Hungarian oak barrels and old American whiskey barrels.
