Maison Pierrot Gourmand - Gourmet Collector Box - 20 lollipops - 262g
The confectionery company Pierrot Gourmand was founded in 1892 by a Parisian confectioner, Georges Évrard . In 1924, Évrard and his associate Herbert invented the first lollipop: fragrant and colored barley sugar in the shape of a spearhead, on a stick of rattan from Madagascar, which made it possible to savor the confectionery without getting your fingers dirty. They file a patent for "a machine for making sweets consisting of a mass of boiled sugar in which the end of a stick is embedded". The pacifier then takes the name of "Pégé", after the initials of the brand. The real Pégé is caramel. The 1950s were the golden age of Pierrot Gourmand, which produced 2,000 tons of confectionery each year. The lollipops are offered in a multitude of flavors in addition to the early milk caramel, including cherry, orange, raspberry and lemon. In 1976, the company had to file for bankruptcy in the face of mass distribution, and the Ivry factory closed. The Andros group buys the brand and resumes production.
This metal box contains 20 spearhead lollipops: 10 fruit flavored lollipops and 10 fresh milk caramel lollipops. They are made without artificial flavors or colors.
