Loch Lomond - Signature - 40%
The Loch Lomond Distillery is located in Alexandria, near Loch Lomond in the Highlands region of Scotland . She was built in 1966 by a partnership between Duncan Thomas, the American owner of Littlemill (now demolished) and Chicago-based Barton Brands. The American company took full control in 1971, but closed it in 1984 during the whiskey industry crisis. It was taken over by Inver House the following year, before being handed over to Glen Catrine Bonded Warehouse Ltd in 1986. Under Glen Catrine ownership, Loch Lomond has become the most flexible, and arguably most innovative, distillery in 'Scotland. The distillery was sold to the Loch Lomond Group in 2014. Loch Lomond whiskey is what Captain Haddock drinks throughout the Tintin comics.
Loch Lomond Signature is a blend of malt and grain whiskeys from the Loch Lomond distillery. It is aged for a minimum of 5 years in Bourbon barrels, then refined in Solera barrels of Bourbon and Sherry Oloroso.
