ROZELIEURES - Wine Cask MXP - 43%
Rozelieures is a French whiskey, raised and distilled in Lorraine by the Distillerie Grallet Dupic . The Grallet-Dupic family has been owner-growers for 5 generations. They grow their own barley on naturally rich land. All Rozelieures whiskeys are classified Single Malt and they were the first distillery in France to work with peated malts. Faithful to the ancestral tradition, the whiskeys are distilled twice and then aged in oak barrels from local forests. They can also use barrels that have contained wines and spirits from Kentucky, Sherry, Burgundy, the Rhône Valley and the Southwest.
This limited edition Wine Cask MXP comes from a single cask ( #562) that contained red wine from the Southwest. The whiskey was distilled in January 2019 and bottled in June 2022. 383 bottles were produced.
