Domaine des Amouriers - Cuvée Signature - Vacqueyras 2020

The Domaine des Amouriers is located in Sarrians, in the Vacqueyras appellation in the Southern Rhône . The property, although planted with vines from 1928, remained unexploited until 1950. Jocelyn Chudzikewicz , agricultural engineer and oenologist contributed to the development of the estate. After his death in 1997, Patrick and Pascale Gras continued to operate the wine estate. They work today with Igor Chudzikewicz, one of Jocelyn's sons. The Domaine des Amouriers now extends over 30 hectares: one part in IGP de Vaucluse, the other in AOP Vacqueyras. Since 2014, the vineyard has been certified organic.

The Signature cuvée is a predominantly Grenache blend supplemented with Syrah . The vines are grown on red clay-limestone soils with rolled pebbles of the “Garrigues”. The vinification is traditional, with partial destemming. The separate vinification of grape varieties and terroirs is carried out in concrete vats, with a maceration of 25 to 35 days. The wine is aged for 15 to 18 months in concrete vats .
