Cointreau - Liquor - 40%
The Cointreau Distillery was founded in 1849 in Angers by brothers Adolphe and Édouard-Jean Cointreau. In 1875, they invented a new distillation process , to obtain a triple sec : a transparent liquid three times more concentrated in aromas and less sweet than the productions of the time.
Cointreau is a brand of liqueur made from the peel of sweet and bitter oranges , which falls under the category of triple sec liqueurs. Cointreau is used both as a drink and in cooking. As a triple sec it is used in cocktail recipes including the Margarita, White Lady and Cosmopolitan.
