ANGOSTURA - 1824 - 40%
The history of Angostura begins in 1824, when Dr. Siegert wanted to perfect his Bitter recipe in the city of Angostura in Venezuela. Angostura Bitters is an essential ingredient for making cocktails such as the Manhattan or the Old Fashioned. In 1875 the company moved to Trinidad , where it still resides today. It was in the 1940s that Angostura began distilling its own Trinidadian rum , the range of which consists of white and amber rums.
Angostura 1824 celebrates the legacy of the company founded in 1824 by Dr. Siegert. The rum has been aged for a minimum of 12 years in ex-Bourbon American oak barrels of medium toast .
