BARBANCOURT - 5 Stars - 8 years old - Rare Edition - 160th Anniversary - 43%
Barbancourt is a brand of rum, produced in Haiti by La Société du Rhum Barbancourt SA The Société du Rhum Barbancourt was founded in 1862 by Dupré Barbancourt , a native of Charente in France, who used for his rum the double-distillation technique used for cognac and aging in Limousin oak barrels. In 1949, the distillery was transferred to the middle of the cane fields of Domaine Barbancourt in the Cul-de-Sac plain. From 1952, the factory began to produce rums from sugar cane grown on its own plantation, from pure sugar cane juice according to an ancestral method that has been passed down from generation to generation for more than 160 years.
This limited edition was marketed for the 160th anniversary of Maison Barbancourt. This is 5* rum , made from sugar cane juice, distilled and aged in oak barrels and revisited especially for this occasion.
