The "Kristalglasfabrik Spiegelau GmbH" was originally located in the municipality of Spiegelau in Germany . In 2004, the Austrian company Riedel Glas took over the crystal factory in Spiegelau. The internationalization of the "Riedel Glass Works" with the brands Riedel, Spiegelau and Nachtmann led to the establishment of the company Spiegelau USA in 2006 under the direction of Maximilian Riedel , the eleventh generation of glassmakers in his family. The company produces glassware, decanters and other crystal accessories. They are specially designed in collaboration with some of the most respected sommeliers in the world as well as the owners of some of the best restaurants in the world. In all aspects (shape, height, diameter…), Spiegelau glasses are designed to bring out the best in wine.
