Château Thivin is located in Mont-Brouilly , in Beaujolais . It belongs to the Geoffray family which has been producing wines for 6 generations. Zaccharie and Marguerite Geoffray bought Château Thivin and its two hectares of vines around the estate on June 8, 1877. Each succeeding generation has brought new plots to the construction of the estate and developed the cultivation and wine-growing methods. The estate's vines are located mainly on the Crus Côte de Brouilly and Brouilly, but the family also produces white, rosé and sparkling Beaujolais cuvées. The family is constantly seeking to optimize cultivation practices, to ensure a perfect balance of the vineyard ecosystem with healthy vines and grapes of optimal quality.
