Domaine François Lamarche - La Grande Rue - Grand Cru Monopole 2018

Domaine François Lamarche is located in Vosne-Romanée, in the Côte de Nuits in Burgundy . It was founded at the beginning of the 20th century by Henri Lamarche, a cooper. His son François Lamarche took over the management of the estate in 1985, accompanied by his daughter Nicole. Nicole Lamarche has been in charge of winemaking since 2006. The vineyard of approximately 11 hectares extends over ten appellations, and includes the Monopole "La Grande Rue" of 1.65 hectares which is located in the middle of the plots of Romanee-Conti. The estate has been organic since 2010.

La Grande Rue is made from Pinot Noir from the Monopole of 1.65 hectares. The harvest is de-stemmed between 80 and 100% depending on the vintage. Fermentation lasts 15 to 18 days in open oak vats. The aging lasts 16 to 20 months in oak barrels, of which 60 to 100% are new.
