Whiskey MICHEL COUVREUR - Alexe 2008 - Aleksé - 15 years old - Oloroso Butt - Bottled 2023 - 53.8%

Independent bottler Michel Couvreur was originally a producer and merchant of Burgundy wine. He turned to the world of whiskey in 1978 and distilled for the first time in Edradour in 1986. At the time, he wanted to buy a distillery in Scotland but his wife was against it and they decided to settle in Bouze . -Lès-Beaune , halfway between Scotland and Andalusia, and to intervene in the breeding of whiskeys; mainly in Sherry and Port casks. The range is very varied and a meticulous work of assembly, selection of new barrels, unusual techniques is undertaken daily. Since his death in 2013, his son-in-law Cyril Deschamps and his wife Alexandra have continued the work of Michel Couvreur.

Aleksé was distilled in 2008 and bottled after 15 years in Oloroso Sherry casks. 702 bottles were produced.
