Domaine Alain Chabanon - Campredon 2018
Domaine Alain Chabanon is located in Lagamas in Languedoc . Alain Chabanon, son of teachers, was not predestined to work the vineyard. But after his first harvest at the age of 14 and higher education in agronomy in Bordeaux, he did internships in wine chateaux and made decisive encounters with their cellar masters. Subsequently, he specialized in oenology and worked with renowned winegrowers. In the early 1990s, he bought his first vines in Montpeyrou x in the Languedoc . He now owns 18 hectares of vines with plots spread over five villages. Domaine Alain Chabanon has been certified in organic farming since 2002 and in biodynamic since 2011.
Campredon is a blend of Syrah (50%), Mourvèdre (30%) and Grenache (20%) . After the manual harvest, the harvest is sorted and then placed in vats by gravity. The maceration lasts 5 weeks. The wine is aged for 18 months in stainless steel vats .
