Mattei Cap Corse is an aperitif created in 1872 and made from mistelle of Muscat and Vermentinu grape varieties collected in Corsica, with macerations of cinchona bark, Corsican citron and a selection of local and exotic plants, fruits and spices . The grape mistelle is a fortified wine obtained by mutage before alcoholic fermentation to prevent its fermentation in order to preserve the fruity residual sugar.
