The Bitter Truth company produces bitters (bitters), liqueurs and spirits for cocktails. The company is located in Germany and was founded in 2006 by Stephan Berg and Alexander Hauck , two bartenders from Munich. They had already gained considerable experience in producing homemade cocktail bitters for the bars in which they worked. Additionally, Stephan had a large collection of current and historic landmarks, some of which had not been produced in decades. Thus, he knew the taste of the most famous bitters in the world and was considered a specialist in this field. Their criteria for choosing flavors were mostly provided by old cocktail recipes that could no longer be produced true to the original.

Bitter Chocolate has aromas of cocoa, cinnamon, vanilla and gentian. It goes well with brown spirits, Port, Sherry as well as sweet and bitter Italian vermouths. It can be used in the following cocktails: Negroni, Old Fashioned, Manhattan, Boulevardier and Right Hand.
