Domaine Loew - Alsace Grand Cru - Altenberg de Bergbieten 2021
Domaine Loew is located in Westhoffen, in Alsace . Heir to a family present in Westhoffen since the 18th century, Etienne Loew took over the wine tradition of his ancestors in 1996 with his wife Caroline. The vineyard, managed using certified biodynamics , is worked with respect for the terroir in order to highlight the geological and climatic characteristics according to each grape variety.
This Riesling comes from the Grand Cru Altenberg de Bergbieten , facing south and whose terroir is made up of red and black marl. The vine is over 30 years old. The harvest is manual and fermentation begins spontaneously with native yeasts. The wine is aged on its lees until summer. This wine is dry (3.5 g/L of residual sugars).
