TEELING - Stout Cask - 46%
Teeling Distillery is a whiskey distillery established in Dublin , Ireland in 2015 by the Teeling Whiskey Company. The distillery was founded by Jack and Stephen Teeling , whose father, John Teeling, had founded the Cooley Distillery in 1987. John Teeling's two sons, Jack and Stephen, worked with their father at the Cooley Distillery. When it was sold to Beam Inc. (now Beam Suntory) in 2011, Jack, then general manager, left, while his brother stayed for about a year. As part of the sale, the Teelings negotiated the purchase of 16,000 barrels of aged whiskey. Using these stocks, Jack Teeling launched Teeling Whiskey in 2012, and was later joined in the business by his brother Stephen.
Teeling Stout Cask is a collaboration between the distillery and Galway Bay Brewery . 200 Fathoms beer is an Imperial Stout, aged in barrels that contained Teeling whiskey. This cask was then reclaimed for aging the Teeling Stout Cask.
