Clase Azul - Mezcal - Guerrero - Agave Papalote - Mezcal Premium - 42%
Clase Azul is one of the most recognized premium Tequila brands due to its distinctive bottle designs . Each emblematic bottle is a unique creation in the world, handcrafted by Mexican artisans. In 2007, Clase Azul set up the Causa Azul foundation: a ceramic workshop in which artisans create these carafes in homage to Mexican culture, which creates many jobs for the community.
Clase Azul is made in Jalisco, Mexico . Agaves grow in Los Altos de Jalisco, a region of red-colored soil where altitude, minerals and climatic conditions create unique properties to the plant. The agave undergoes a long transformation: the leaves of the plant are removed to expose its core, known as the piña. These piñas are slowly baked in stone ovens then ground to extract the sugars resulting from the cooking process. Fermentation is carried out with a patented yeast which gives Tequila Clase Azul its characteristic profile. Unlike Tequila, a distillate made exclusively from blue agave, Mezcal can be made from a wide range of agave species. Each Mezcal is a reflection of the soil and conditions that nourished the agave and led to its growth.
Clase Azul Mezcal Guerrero is made from a very rare variety of agave: Papalote agave. This plant grows wild in the mountain ranges of Guerrero state, where the coastal climate and cool green forests shine through in its flavor profile.
