Domaine du Gros Noré - Cuvée Antoinette 2020
Domaine du Gros Noré is located in La Cadière-d'Azur, in the Bandol appellation area in Provence . The winery was founded in 1997 by Alain Pascal , and its name pays homage to his father, Honoré, nicknamed Gros Noré because of his overweight. The 19 hectares of vines are planted on the northern slopes of the village on clay soils. The vines are swept by the Mistral, bringing relative humidity to the foliage with its spray, and drying the land, so the grapes benefit from an exceptional health condition. The proximity of the sea also brings a salty side to the wines and liveliness. The vineyard has been run in certified organic farming since the 2021 vintage.
The Antoinette cuvée is made from Mourvèdre from a north-facing plot whose terroir is composed of clay.
Grape variety: 100% Mourvèdre
