Ao Yun - Shangri-La 2019

Ao Yun is located on the banks of the Mekong River in the foothills of the Himalayas in the Yunnan province of China . The vineyards are spread across several villages at the foot of the sacred Meili Snow Mountain, near Shangri-La City and the borders with India and Myanmar. The altitude varies between 2,200 and 2,600 meters. The brand was founded by LVMH , and the first vintage was released in 2013.

Ao Yun is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Petit Verdot and Merlot harvested from 314 plots. Vinification and aging follow the model of Bordeaux wines. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for approximately 18 months.
