Domaine de Fondrèche - Red 2022

Domaine de Fondrèche is located in Mazan, in the Ventoux appellation in the Rhône . The estate is managed by Sébastien Vincenti , who is keen to favor ecology and the environment in his method of production: installation of photovoltaic panels, treatment of cellar water, management of the vineyard in organic farming, reduction of phytosanitary products in benefit from decoction and infusion of plants… The estate today consists of three large plots well defined according to their production objectives for a total of 40 hectares. The lunar calendar influences all interventions on the plant in order to strengthen the natural defenses of the vine. The wines of Domaine de Fondrèche summarize the philosophy of the estate, 20 years of work and restructuring of the estate.

Le Rouge is a blend of Grenache (50%), Syrah (30%) and Mourvèdre (20%) whose average age of the vines is around forty years. Vinification is traditional with vatting lasting 21 to 28 days with only a few small punching downs. Aging lasts 12 months in ovoid vats, barrels and tuns .
