Massenez Distillery - Roquefort Liqueur - 25%
The Distillerie Massenez is located in Dieffenbach-au-Val, in Alsace . It was created in 1870 by Jean-Baptiste Massenez , a local distiller. In 1913, his son Eugène Massenez distilled wild raspberries for the first time. This brandy was appreciated by the Queen of Sweden and the distillery became an official supplier to the court of the King of Sweden. Gabriel Eugène, the third generation, developed the reputation of the distillery by associating itself with haute cuisine with starred chefs like Bocuse and beautiful restaurants like La Tour d'Argent. A new distillery was opened in 1979 to respond to their strong growth. The brand then expanded into 110 countries and diversified its range of products. In 2010, Distillerie Massenez joined forces with Grandes Distilleries Peureux . Bernard Baud, President of Grandes Distilleries Peureux, on the other side of the Vosges and famous for its Griottines, has breathed new life into the Distillerie Massenez, while retaining the DNA of the House.
