Domaine Charlopin Tissier - Marsannay - Les Longeroies 2022
Domaine Charlopin Tissier is located in Morey-Saint-Denis , in the Côte de Nuits in Burgundy . It was created in 2013 by Yann Charlopin (the son of Philippe Charlopin in Gevrey-Chambertin) and his wife Justine Tissier . After studying oenology in Beaune and spending time producing wine in Tasmania, Sancerre and Chablis, Yann Charlopin returned home to work alongside his father. When the opportunity arose to acquire part of Justine's family's vines in Marsannay, and with a clear vision of the wines he wanted to create, Yann could not pass up the opportunity to launch his own account. Today, the couple farms 4 hectares of vines managed in organic, non-certified farming .
Marsannay comes from the Les Longeroies climat, currently being studied by the INAO to be classified Premier Cru. This vineyard was planted in 2015 by Charlopin Tissier. The wine is aged for 16 months in 228 liter barrels, 20 to 30% of which are new.
