The Old Bushmills Distillery is located in Bushmills , County Antrim, Northern Ireland , and is owned by Casa Cuervo . The company that originally built the distillery was formed in 1784, although the date is 1608. either printed on the brand label (referring to an earlier date when a royal licence was granted to a local landowner to distill whisky in the area). After various periods of closure during its later history, The distillery has operated continuously since its rebuilding after a fire in 1885. Bushmills is named after the mills that dot the town along the River Bush.

This edition is a 10 year old whiskey first aged in Bourbon and sherry casks, then refined in sweet wine casks (Vino Dulce).
