BRIO DE CANTENAC BROWN 2019
Château Cantenac-Brown is located in the Margaux appellation, in the Bordeaux wine region. It was classified as a Troisième Grand Cru Classé in the 1855 classification. It was founded in 1806 by John-Lewis Brown, a merchant of Scottish origin. The property has been owned by the Le Lous family since 2019, and is managed daily by Tristan Le Lous and José Sanfins. The duo has begun a program to build a new winery entirely in raw earth, designed by the committed architect and pioneer of eco-responsibility, Philippe Madec. The Cantenac-Brown vineyard extends over 48 hectares in the Margaux appellation, with a few plots in the Bordeaux appellation.
Brio de Cantenac Brown 2019 is a blend of Merlot (48%), Cabernet Sauvignon (42%) and Cabernet Franc (10%) . The wine is aged in French oak barrels; 75% in one-year-old barrels and 25% in new barrels.
