Fernet-Branca is an Italian bitter , invented in 1836 by Bernardino Branca. It is a herbal alcoholic drink with a strong bitter taste, especially recognized as a remedy for headaches and other symptoms of a state of strong intoxication. It contains, among other things, gentian, rhubarb, aloe, chamomile, rue, angelica, saffron, and is aged for a year in tuns.
Branca Menta was born in the 1960s, at a time when it was fashionable to enjoy Fernet-Branca accompanied by peppermint syrup. Inspired by this fashion, the famous liqueur gave birth to Branca Menta; made according to a recipe secret, this liqueur is distinguished by the use of fresh mint from Piedmont, Italy.
