MARSANNAY TRAPET JEAN-LOUIS 2017
The estate was created in 1919 by the Trapet family in the Côte de Nuits appellation, in Burgundy. Since 1995, the vineyard has been converted to biodynamy. Jean-Louis Trapet owns 15.70 hectares of vines: 14.50 hectares in red (Pinot Noir) and 1.20 hectares in white (Chardonnay).
The appelation Marsannay is known and renowned for the finesse and delicacy of its rosés, and finds nowadays its tradition of terroirs with great red wines, which has always made its reputation. The red Marsannay of Jean-Louis Trapet comes from three different parcels, where some of the vines are over 50 years old. The brown, dry and calcareous soils contain pebbles and gravels that allow good natural drainage.
