It is the only appellation of the domain which is not located in the commune of Gevrey-Chambertin, since it is part of the appellations of Morey-Saint-Denis. The vines are based on limestone and clay-limestone soils from the Middle Jurassic.
The estate acquired 2 plots of this climate: one in 1920-1921 and the other in 1975. The Grand Cru controlled designation of origin was given to it in 1936.
This mineral and powerful wine offers a blend of ripe fruit flavors, while showing exceptional precision and fragrance thanks to a firm mineral thorn. It is long in the mouth with great consistency and a certain firmness. This wine will also be a very good wine to keep, with optimal tasting from 2021.
